History
The seat of the von Stein family developed from a Renaissance settlement surrounded by a moat. In the 18th century, it became a meeting place for the Weimar cultural circle.
Goethe visited Charlotte von Stein here many times. The later Liebhabertheater theater and park gave the residence a unique, intimate character.
Wnętrza opowiadają o życiu rodu von Stein i relacji, która pozostawiła ślad w historii literatury. Pamiątki pozwalają spojrzeć na Goethego poza oficjalnym wizerunkiem poety klasycznego Weimaru.
Liebhabertheater przypomina kulturę amatorskiego teatru arystokratycznego, a park zachęca do przejścia śladami dawnych gospodarzy. Kochberg jest szczególnie dobry dla miłośników literatury, muzyki i miejsc o osobistej atmosferze.
