History
Burgk was the seat of the collateral line of the Reuss family. From a defensive stronghold, it gradually became a comfortable residence, without losing its compact silhouette by the river.
The historic halls, chapel and Silbermann organ form one of the most complete castle complexes in eastern Thuringia.
Zwarta sylwetka ponad zakolem rzeki nadal przypomina warownię, lecz apartamenty i kuchnia odsłaniają wygodne życie bocznej linii Reuss. Można zobaczyć zarówno reprezentacyjną, jak i praktyczną stronę zamkowej codzienności.
Kaplica z organami Silbermanna jest artystycznym sercem zespołu. Po zwiedzaniu warto spojrzeć na Soławę z otoczenia zamku — rzeka i strome zbocza wyjaśniają obronny charakter miejsca lepiej niż sam plan budowli.
