History
Reichsgraf Gustav Adolf von Gotter transformed the former water headquarters into a lavish baroque maison de plaisance. The interior decorations were created by respected court artists.
The later landscape park, orangery and lapidary complement the representative character of the complex.
Reichsgraf von Gotter przekształcił dawną siedzibę wodną w maison de plaisance, dlatego wnętrza są bardziej teatralne i osobiste niż w wielkiej rezydencji państwowej. Dekoracje miały olśniewać gości kunsztem dworskich artystów.
Nietypowa kolekcja erotyków dodaje miejscu prywatnego tonu. Po salach warto przejść przez park ku oranżerii i lapidarium; niewielka skala sprawia, że architektura, sztuka i ogród pozostają w bliskim dialogu.
