History
The palace was built for the princes of Saxe-Weimar as a place for hunting and summer recreation. During the times of Princess Anna Amalia, Goethe, Wieland, Herder and a circle of Weimar artists met here.
The complex, the park and the representative Pücklerschlag form an important element of the landscape of classical Weimar.
