History
The stronghold was established in the circle of the counts of Schwarzburg-Käfernburg and guarded the local route. Its compact plan with rounded corners distinguishes it from the Turin ruins.
Fragments of the Gothic palace, tower, moat and perimeter of the walls have been preserved.
